Shadow Play

One cold, rainy, winter afternoon, I took a wander through a forest in the Hague. Freezing and soaked, I manage to capture these photographs:

The Forms in Nature chandelier, by Hilden and Diaz, projects shadows of a forest throughout every corner of a room, through the strategic placement of each branch. Awe-provoking is the complexity of the fixture and its reflection of the natural world. The chandelier is not available for commercial distribution, but do I even wish it were? Nah. Nothing could adequately capture the intensity of walking alone through the forest…though this is certainly the closest you’ll get from the confines your bedroom. Lovely.
