Helen’s post on Greek beauty tips got me thinking about the gloriousness of honey. Honey contains amazing nutritional and healing properties and is naturally antibacterial. Aside from using it to sweeten your cup of green tea, you can slather it all over your face to moisturize and to help speed up the healing of acne. You can use it plain or mix it with some Greek yogurt, like Helen suggests in her post. I like to use a plain honey mask a few times a week (in the shower because it can be messy). Try it! Get yourself some raw, unpasteurized honey (preferably organic) and slap it on your face and neck. Leave it on for at least 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. I promise you’ll be rewarded with glowing, wonderfully moisturized skin.
And if you don’t believe me, maybe you’ll believe the folks over at Alexander McQueen. Their beekeeper and honey inspired Spring/Summer 2013 campaign includes a shot of model Raquel Zimmerman all honeyed-up to accompany the stunning looks full of flowers and honeycomb patterns and structures.

…and then I highly recommend you check out the backstage film to get a better sense of the stunning detail of the designs. Perhaps you could smear some honey all over your face while you watch to enhance the experience.
